Welcome to KMom's little patch of Sand
In 2005, our family finally attained a dream nearly 2 decades in the making -
we purchased some rural property and left the suburbs behind.
Karla is the photographer, gardener and keeper of this
website. Mentally, she is still in her mid-30s,
although her knees will tell you she is lying. By
vocation, she is a computer geek, but in her real
life, she prefers to talk to trees.
David is the one who gets all the actual work done
on the place. He is a diesel mechanic who plays with
giant Tonka Toys for a living and brings old muscle
cars and broken down trucks back to life for fun.
We're not sure how we managed to do it, but we
have been married nearly 2 decades. Along the way,
we acquired 3 children, several dogs, an ocational
seasonal snake or frog or two, a tarantula and a
siamese fighting fish. We hope to add a few dozen
chickens, several goats and several hundred trees
to the list in the near future.
