While many things languished in the Summer Desert Sun, the Sunflowers thrived, growing strong and vigorous. I knew they liked the sun, but having past experience with "sun-lovers" wilting and expiring when confronted with Desert Sun, I had my reservations. As a result, I planted less than a dozen - just a little experiment in a few of my veggie beds. Well, from the results, I am sure to be planting even more of them in 2008!
